Miami Print
The beach and the city are perfectly intertwined in this metropolis. A piece of trivia included in this map is "stiltsville", a series of buildings (mostly bars) that once stood, accessible only by boat, hovering over the bay. Multiple hurricanes eventually destroyed them, but the symbolism of the city extending into the ocean, albeit on stilts, is totally romantic. Of course, the city on dry land still stands as a monument to all things quintessentially Miami.

ABOUT THE IDEA
So why all the circles? Research indicates that GPS's are hindering our ability to create mental maps of our surroundings. The maps aim to install a "Map from the Mind" for each city, simplifying structures and districts in the simplest terms. Each design is taken as a new challenge, using the knowledge of locals to create a map that is both beautiful and useful.
ABOUT LETTERPRESS PRINTING
Letterpress is a very complicated and expensive printing method. All Letterpress are slammed with 600 pounds of pressure, creating a deep, tactile texture. The ink gets embedded into the thick soft paper so it won't fade within your lifetime.
